Exam 5 2004 Pass Mark

The CAS has updated it's pass mark pdf file. Pass mark for 2004 was 62.5.

As has always been the case, the number is right around 80% of the 95th percentile.

62.5 looks reasonable to me, especially compared to the other exams. Exam 7 was an insanely low 56, while Exam 8 was at an unprecedented 70%. (Don't think I've ever seen anything higher than 65.)

Percentage-wise it's actually a bit lower than last year. Whatever pass mark they choose it all comes down to the percent of candidates who passed. As far as I could tell that number seemed to be in line with previous years.
