Anybody heard anything good/bad about this?

I've worked his practice tests before but haven't taken his class.
The questions on the practice tests are a bit tougher than you would see on an actual exam. However, if you get the concepts in the practice tests then that ends up being good prep for test day.

The GVR tests are pretty heavy duty in the math department. I would say they are good preparation for those who approach the course from a mathamatical point of view and rely more on general principles than memorizing a ton of formulas. At the same time the GVR exams can be very frustrating for the student who is trying to pass (and can) by memorizing a bunch of formulas with average math skills.
I'd suggest finding his free course 3 exam and see how you feel about those problems before committing. The last two sittings before this fall seemed to tilt more toward GVR type problems.

I took GVR's seminar for course 3, and it was pretty tough. The one thing I did like was that it kept me focused, and gave me something specific to focus on - we also finished with plenty of time to rework practice exam problems at the end.
Although I didn't necessarily care for the intense-math type of approach (lots of focus on probability), I think it probably did help me out in the long run. It's also nice to have a source/forum for questions. GVR was very good about responding to questions, and preparing additional material where students were weak.

Kitara,
Did you just take the exam or do you already know you passed?

I'm fairly confident I passed the CAS exam (which I just took). I can let you know for sure once results are out!

So previously the "class" would help with either exam? Now it is ideally SOA?
From looking at the topics, it looks like Exam M is what is being covered. This doesn't look like it would be complete prep for CAS 3.

For the last sitting's class, GVR covered both CAS and SOA syllabus topics. The focus of the class is on the SOA syllabus, but questions from both and material from both are provided. Questions that are specifically SOA or specifically CAS are noted as such.

Is there anything similar for exam C/4?
