View Full Version : Exam Tickets
I always thought that exam ticket is a must to get admitted into the exam room. Just witnessed somebody taking exam without the ticket. ( Yeah, he knew the procters!) Just double checked the SOA spring 2002 catalog, it states exam ticket a MUST for exam! Is what I saw a big deal or not? :o

If the taker knew the proctor and the taker's name was on the list, then "naaah" not a big deal. The SOA makes that statement as a CYA.

There's a whole grid of instructions on what to do if somebody shows up without a ticket but the name's on the list, with a ticket but the name's not on the list, etc. Not a big deal at all.
In fact, there was a blurb in the instructions that even if the grid said 'no, they can't take the test' but they get belligerent, allow them to take the exam but write them up.

My first sitting for Exam 2 my exam ticket never came in the mail. The SoA told me (when I called) that my registration was confirmed and to just make sure to bring my pencil, calculator and ID. It almost happened to several people at my company for this sitting as well. The SoA had to send out tickets again. One coworker got his the day before his exam. I assured him before that it wasn't that big of a deal, but it was nice to have them nonetheless. The important thing is that your registration is confirmed and that your name is on the list at the exam site.

I never read my ticket closely; one sitting listed me at an exam site 1500 miles away. didn't realize until materials were being handed out & proctor didn't have my name on the list... luckily they had 'spare' exams. Lucky for me, I had kept a copy of my application; SOA effed up, so all was fine.
