View Full Version : Part 6: Today?
I hate the waiting. I'm giving myself a 40/60 shot at passing, but at this point, I feel the disappointment of failing outweighs this agonizing, nail-biting, hair-pulling, cubicle-incidiating waiting time.
Wait, did I just say I set my office on fire? OH SNAP!!!!

I find myself wanting to hit refresh, even though I know better.
I already have the page open, and have been hitting Ctrl-F5 out of habit

I agree with you, Avi....though I'm at about 25/75 on passing...the waiting is torture, and I don't think I can wait another day... :wall:

I'm right there with you all. The anxiety has been building all day. Well, it's been building since Friday when 9 came out and I knew we couldn't be too far behind. I can't give myself any odds on passing; I have absolutely no idea what it will be. I thought I did well, but this was my first upper-level exam, so I don't know what to expect.

same here....I've been waiting forever it seems. First timer with big exams...around 40% of passing chances...this is killing me.
This waiting stress is unhuman. These last 2 days have been the less productive ever :(
but this was my first upper-level exam, so I don't know what to expect.
Torture, pure and simple.
Iron Maidens, racks, thumbscrews, burning pokers, you name it.
Read the Pit and the Pendulum, and consider that the protagonist still never had to suffer waiting for an exam.

man, you guys are dramatic. If any of you pass, then you deserve this :horse:And so?
Some of us let off our tension through drama.
Is this an exam which I see before me,
This scantron toward my hand? Come, let me clutch thee.
I have thy scores not, and yet I see thee still.
Art thou not, Exam Part, sensible
To comprehension as to sight? or art thou but
A paper of the mind, a false creation of the EC
Proceeding from the infernal bowels of the CAS?
I see thee yet, in form as palpable
As this internet which now I type.
Thou showest me the way that I was going;
And such carrer I was to pursue.
Mine life is made the fools o' the other careers,
Or else worth all the rest; I see thee still,
And on thy surface and writing a blurred mark,
Which was not so before. There's no such thing:
It is the painful business which informs
My score to mine eyes. Now o'er the one society
Courtesy seems dead, and wicked dreams abuse
The EC's sleep; witchcraft celebrates
Pale candidate's offerings, and wither'd pass scores,
Alarum'd by their sentinel, the pass ratio,
Whose howl's their watch, thus with its stealthy pace.
With ravishing strides, towards their design
Moves like a juggernaut. Thou sure and firm-set failure,
Hear not my steps, which way they walk, for fear
Thy very scores prate of my whereabout,
And take the present pass list from the vault,
Which now envelopes with it. Whiles I breath, they seek to torment:
Scores to the light of day are hidden beneath.
A site updates
I go, and it is done; the site invites me.
Hear it not, CAS; for it is a knell
That summons me to heaven or to hell.

Just put it in perspective relative to the rest of the world right now. Then you will see how the results are inconsequential.

Plant Food, I just kicked it off with a Budweiser and will be moving into Guinness as soon as I get to the bar. Tonight may be a night for a visit with my old friend Jack Daniels. I highly recommend it even if you did not pass. It got me through a dreary Christmas last year when I failed.

Mr. Plant Food,
I took your advice and just purchased a 6 pack. I must admit that this is a very well crafted brew. I am quite pleased with your selection. Thank you for the enlightenment :)

I was there.
I'll be celebrating by, uh, finishing my Christmas shopping, wrapping gifts, packing my bags, and all sorts of other hectic stuff I need to get done before flying home for the holidays. Such thoughtful timing on the release of results, I must say.

lori darling - nice to see someone else who drinks Fat Tire - not many here in Los Angeles. I bring a case back from Denver every time I visit the folks. And Congrats on 6.

statzman - i did end up having the Fat Tire instead of the bubbly. i was in denver a few months ago (right after exam 6) - drove to fort collins to see the new belguim brewery and take the tour and all that. the darn place was closed for staff team building day! :swear:
ah well, maybe next time...
