View Full Version : Need a new avatar

OK, so I'm trying to answer serious questions on job postings, with an avatar that looks like that. Hard for someone to take me seriously (not that that's a good idea anyway).

I'm to lazy to find another avatar, which is where you come in. Any thoughts on what I should change my avatar to? I *know* people around here are more ingenious than I am, so I welcome suggestions.

I don't really have any suggestions, I'm just glad your getting rid of that thing.

Pretty, please, with a cherry on top???OK, I added some commas for clarity.

So Glenn, you think Beavis (or Butthead) is more respectable than that freak you had earlier?

glenn

It's a work in progress.

I hope it progresses further than this. :D

dude, i think that's like a belt or something.

glenn, the b/b thing is better than that monstrosity thing, but if you're aiming for respectibility... er, um... keep looking?

Aiming, but wide by a mile.

HERE's another good example of artificial post count-boost... This message should have clearly been sent by PM.
1) It's about a private matter
2) She's not going to reply publicly anyway because she reached the 1002 threshold and has retired.

*sigh* :shake: Curb your posting impulses...

(ok now, we can exchange 2-3 more posts about this)

1. It's not really a private matter because everyone knows Kitten will reappear and I wanted everyone to see my question and any possible response
2. Her new incarnation could respond
3. People have private tangents in public threads all the time
4. My guess would be that she does not log in as Kitten anymore so she would not get a PM if I sent one
5. She could respond to this public question via PM if she desired or with the new username
6. I may be guilty, at times, at gratuitous post-count-padding. This is not one of those times

7. This is.

I hope she still reads PM's at her old name. :(

1. Replace knows by hopes
3. Really ? ;)
4. Is this what you did when you stopped posting as Griffin ? You should try to log in and at least reply to Griff's pm's. It would be the polite thing to do.
5. I hope she replies by PM, Knowing that her usernames have a limited post-count expectancy... Kitten got to 1000 just as we were starting to have fun.
6. I beg to differ because of 7.

(there you go, another 2 replies at least here)

Well, I found my avatar, and after kitten's insistence that Glenn is dogbert, ill have to settle for the human version.
