I'll take Oakland in 4.

I think the Yanks are overrated, and pitching and offense are not quite up to last year's standards.

Other opinions?

Do you mind explaining to me how the Yanks pitching is...

Rivera is a bit more vulnerable, Hernandez is hurt, and Clemens, despite his 20-2 record, has a high ERA.

Pettite looked good last night, despite the HR.

The difference is the errors. The errors are going against the Yankees this year - this includes fielding errors and umpire errors (can you say Jeffrey Mayer).

Finally some karmic justice for us O's fans!

Oakland in 3, because I hate the Yankees.
No more solid reasoning than that.

As Berman says, "That's why they play the games."

As Kenny Mayne says,

This may look good on paper, but we all know games aren't played on paper. They're played on TV sets.

Good one, WWS.

I also agree with Oakland in 3, for the same reasons.
Let's see if Seattle can deliver this year. I don't need Fox getting good ratings.

Well, I'm wrong. Hopefully I can do better predicting next years claim rates

But if I had to do it again, I'd still pick Oakland. They were the better team, but I just think they got jittery. More postseason experience will help there.

Now on to Seattle. Now I've learned not to count out the Yanks so easily, so I'll pick Seattle in 6.

The Yankees and Braves are (in my opinion, although it's basically a fact) by far the worst two teams in the playoffs. If we see *another* rematch of these losers in the World Series, it's gonna be Boooore City.

It is one thing to go up 2-0, but it takes something to put a team away, especially a team with the Yankees with the 2nd coming of Charlie Hustle.

The A's will learn and rebound. The Indians never learn.

Who would that be, WWS? I didn't watch much of it last night. I was watching a comedy/tragedy on ABC.

One of the Yankees bet on baseball? I am confused?

In case you missed it, or are just being sarcastic

Derek Jeter has turned up some defensive playes that would stand up with Pete Rose's legendary plays of baseballs past.

First, there was the play where Shane Spencer missed the cutoff man throwing to home, and out of nowhere, Jeter tan down the field to get the ball and shovel pass it to Posada to deny the A's the tying run in game 3. That was the turning point of the series.

Then, last night, Jeter (again out of nowhere) in the 8th inning, just beelined to the left field stands to nab a pop-up and caught it while flying into the 1st row.

If there is a rematch of the two worst teams in the playoffs, at least take comfort in the fact that the worst team will lose
