Which part is hard in CAS 3?

Ojectively, which part is harder than others? Let's divide the materials into Statistics, Loss models, probability models and Actuarial Mathematics.

Of course, people with different background will have their own oppinions.

For me, Statistics and probability models are easier. I am not sure about the other two parts.

If you have no background in Actuarial Mathematics, just learning the symbols is a challenge

Let's put it this way. Which part takes more time to review. I totally agree that the notations in Actuarial math is time consuming.
