View Full Version : A painful look at the J.T. lynching

Not happy about my role in this. I hope it's not too painful for J.T. At least I know I knew throughout that there was no way J.T. made that post carelessly. There's no real Alliance scheming here, yet to me something is very suggestive.

These were all in a thread discussing all Exam Committee posts. I've only included those relevant to the J.T. frame.

Subject: EC post Dec 18
Now they've posted in the CAS Exams section, thread "Exam 6 - Results"
I wish they'd just get it over with. I know I failed, but after 250 hours of studying I am still holding out hope that I passed.
Need to think through the quote. That almost sounds more like a real slip than the more "obvious" grammar errors. But, I'll need to look at it in context when I have more than 30 seconds.

I agree that there is a good chance that this is a major EC slip.

Doing some research in this thread:
(link to prior forum; deleted)

Here are the students that took CAS part 6

Anonymouse (posting, not clear they sat)
J.T.
Macavity (only studied 4 hours)

Note J.T.'s post Here:

I thought the exam was way too long. I've never taken one that I haven't felt able to look at the questions. I left way too many of them blank that I knew how to do because I didn't have time.

Very frustrated, since I put in over 250 hours (250 was 5 days before the exam).

For the questions that I got to, I felt like I knew them cold. Sucks that I failed the exam again when I know I knew the material very well.
Compare to this post by the EC:
I wish they'd just get it over with. I know I failed, but after 250 hours of studying I am still holding out hope that I passed.
And the alarm bells are ringing off the hook!!!!

Subject: EC posts

I was already fairly suspicious of J.T. (added Feb 2: clueless as usual)

It sounds plausible as a slip, but it would also be an easy frame. Or maybe a reverse frame by J.T. herself?

I've intentionally avoided mentioning it in the game thread. I'm curious as to who will be the first to notice it, and what the reaction will be.
I've also held off in the public thread. I don't think we want to wait too long, but it'll be interesting to see who brings it up. Especially if it is JT herself, who should recognize the post either as her own or as an attempted frame of her.

My first thought was "major slip". My follow-up reaction is "frame". Whether it is a reverse frame or not is up for debate.

I think we need a new thread, "who have the EC implicated". I can't remember all the items we've commented on.
If anyone wants to bring this post up in the public thread, J.T. just gave you a way to do it. She seems to be asking someone to look at all the posts EC has made. So, she can refute this post?
I've now posted my analysis in the game thread, as well. I was waiting to see who would bring it up. J.T. ultimately did (through Butters may have made a veiled reference to it). Her excuse reads to me like someone who screwed up and is trying to cover her tracks.
ury and I had extensive debate about this by PM, going along parallel to these Alliance website posts. Those PMs aren't especially relevant, since we know J.T. and I aren't EC and he was. What I now find interesting is that Asynch and urysohn were both very outspoken about this, and both generally saying we should lynch J.T. When I thought ury was innocent, I could see Asynch as EC pushing the frame. If both were EC, it strikes me as way too overdone, far more than any other cooperation I saw from them.

So I think it tends to show Asynch innocent, falling hard for the frame as so many others have fallen for the EC frames this game.
