If your company pays for your study materials (texts, guides, seminar handouts, etc.) who owns it?
If your company pays for your study materials (texts, guides, seminar handouts, etc.) who owns it?Depends on the company policy. Ask the student program liason. In our company, it actually may depend by department. Everyone in my unit gets their own Study Materials, so we each own ours. Other departments may share texts.
BTW - you left out the "42" (other-NA) option. :)
Where I am at, company purchased materials are property of the company

Company owns the texts, I own the study manual.
...as if I've really got much use for it afterwards, either....

Worked 3 places while studying. At two, I owned the materials, at the other the company technically owned them, but I could keep them until another student requested them and if they became obsolete, I owned them. Practically speaking, no student ever asked for my materials. They always ordered a new set, and the my boss always authorized it.

When I'm finished with an exam, I am more than happy to give my study materials back to the company. (It is more environmentally sound than burning them.)

Regardless of company policy, I must find a way to own my books. I'm crazy about books. Well, I'm just crazy in general.

Very happy to do this as well. Since I purchased most of the materials from the last exam that I passed, I ended up throwing out a lot of stuff. Would have probably preferred to give them to the company.

If your company has a policy of giving back books, and you keep them anyway, I'm sure they won't put up a fuss. (Especially since new textbook editions come out every couple years or so.)
