The emperor/chancellor Palpatine was not in IV: New Hope (although he was referred to).
The answers must be the actors in the 'droids (names that I do not know).

Not that challenging I guess if you know the name of one of Lucas's earlier movies....I believe Han Solo and Luke say they are transferring Chewbacca (when they pretend to have captured him) FROM cell block 1138.
Actually, THX-1138 WAS going to be the serial number of the gaurd with the faulty transmitter on the Death Star, but it was changed.

Nope. And neither was the Emperor, who has been played by 2 different actors.
Nope, Ian McDiarmid played the emperor in the first trilogy (chronologically second) in old man makeup.
He appears more naturally as Emperor/Chancellor Palpatine in the second trilogy (chronologically first).
Though IMDB.com does list Clive Revill as a voice-only credit for SW5:TESB.

Clive's voice was dubbed back over the original trilogy because George Lucas is an A-Hole. I wish he would just leave well enough alone.
I also did not care for putting the Young anakin in the end of ROTJ. I thought this was pure retarded.

I also did not care for putting the Young anakin in the end of ROTJ. I thought this was pure retarded.I understand that he did it because he lived on through the force....and furthermore it was because he had made ammends again, thus he was no longer on the dark side. It showed him at his last age before he went to the dark side.
I understand it, but I can't say I necessarily agree with it.

Clive's voice was dubbed back over the original trilogy because George Lucas is an A-Hole. I wish he would just leave well enough alone. I see Griffin's already been corrected....anyway, speaking of GL being an a-hole, why didn't he let David Prowse play Darth Vader after the mask came off in ROTJ? IIRC, Prowse was the guy in the suit for all three movies but at the very end of ROTJ when the mask came off, Lucas used someone else because.....he didn't like Prowse? Anyone know?

I thought anakin looked "middle aged" like his 40s or something, not young. I guess that's not realistic, since we now know that he's probably only 10 years younger than Kenobi.

In the current issue this is true, until they find a reason to tweak it again and put another version out thereOk, I had thought so. One Sunday back in November I sat down and watched the OT back to back to back....I just wanted to make sure I wasn't imagining it.
In this case, showing him at the last age before he turns to the darkside is understandable. Not everyone will agree with the move GL made though.
The old release, makes no sense to show a middle aged man (I've seen the old release as well and can remember the guy as well).

As long as we are on the topic:
My recollections:
In the famous cantina scene in "A New Hope", Han Fired first at Greedo in the original. Upon re-release, Greedo fires first and misses Han, so Han's killing him is more self-defense (and hero-like).
Secondly, in "A New Hope", Princess Leiah kisses Luke on the lips right before he swings them on his dental floss over the cavern as they are escaping the Death Star. In the re-release, GL digitally remastered the scene so that the kiss is on the cheek, as they turn out to be siblings. Although, there is no mistaking the full on lip kiss she plants on Luke in ROTJ.
I think that there was one more re-editted scene that bothered me, but for the life of me I cannot recall what it is.

The figure that you see in the original version of TESB is an old woman (it's not Ian McDiarmid). In the 2004 DVD release, it was replaced by Ian McDiarmid. So I think Griffin 6 is correct when he says that the emperor was played by 2 different actors.
Clive Revill was the original voice of the emperor. Do you know who played the physical body of the emperor?

I only know what I wrote in my last post - it was an old woman. I don't know her name.
I only ask because I checked websites that had complete cast lists and they only credit the voice & not the physical actor.
