Newbie needs info on general CAS 5 information

I just decided that im going to do CAS 5 in may.

Im just looking for general information about the exam. Ex: number of questions, length of exam, grading (negative for multiple choice?), what study notes are essential?

Basically an overall description of the cas 5 exam process.

I already checked out the syllabus for the material covered, and have started reading the McClenahan article.

Most of your questions are covered in the "instructions to candidates" on past exams, including how MC is graded. The total number of points and number of questions varies a bit year to year, but the proportion of MC vs essay/short answer remains about the same.

A good study guide (e.g. All 10) will help you figure out which notes have been given more weight in prior exams. Keep in mind that this is no guarantee what will be emphasized on future exams.

The learning objectives are a decent guide to what topics are emphasized, though that is a newer concept and they aren't perfect.
