What do you all think of this eBay item (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1467&item=5557446658&rd=1)?
I actually saw the TV piece referred to in the listing. One of the older children said, on camera, that his parents started joking about selling the baby on eBay and that planted the seed that became the listing.
I think it started as a joke, but when it went up to $255 they weren't so sure.

She put too many restrictions on it. Nothing off the wall? What about those famous people who name their kids apple or soleil moon.

That would be pretty frickin sweet to be born on 5/5/05. Especially if you're a member of the poker posse.

Mrs. Pseu (preggers) and I saw a mention of a similar story on the news - pregnant woman looking to sell ad space on her, um, enwomberation. Mrs. Pseu asked me, "What kind of a company would want their logo on a pregnant woman's belly." Without thinking, I said "Goodyear". I think my bruises may heal before the baby's birth, but it will be close.

It was a pure reflex thing. Nerve impulses went from ear to spinal column to lips. No brain involved.

What is wrong with Gertrude?
Yeah you could call her Gertie for short. But Gertrude just sounds a little geeky.

Trudie was my first boats name, after my wifes G-ma. We told her it was because we didn't want to name our kids after her, so she got the boat instead.

14000 now, you have to wonder how much money she will actually get. Those bids may not be real

My guess is the whole reason she did this was because of a family feud between her family and her hubby's, and this is how she settled it. Name to the highest bidder. Grandma is up to 14K.
That may be, a lot of families are pretty picky about names.

Apparently she cancelled the $14,000 bid because the person had no feedback. It's down to $610.
