markov chain

In the syllabus, the markov chain's part has been cancelled from Probabilities book. Now, it is covered by Dr. Daniel's list which does not cover basic markov chain staff, like "recurrent, transient, random walk, gambler's ruin problem". Do we still need to know the above? Since they are basic staff,and there are some old exam questions about it.

Any opinions are welcome.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like we need to.

That's a shame, because those are some very interesting problems.
