A little late for this, but can we get an idea of who's on Part 5 this spring and what attempt? This is my first attempt at 5.

The correct answer, for you at least is "Last Time".

Also attempt #1. In trouble, but not totally doomed as have plenty of study hours still available to catch up. Theoretically.

It better be, because if it isn't, I might just quit. There are only so many times you can handle re-looking at ratemaking articles (along with those darn CPCU books).

5 isn't nearly as boring as 7. And 6 can't be any better than 5 either. I hate to be the bearer of bad news. Maybe you could PM me with an e-mail address and I'll send you my old Exam 5 notes. It was efficient reading 100 pages instead of 1,000... Some of the articles have changed though so caveat emptor and all that. If anything it would be a break from the actual texts.

Yea, I have condensed notes too, but I find more out each time I re-read the articles. I don't think that 7 is going to be any better, but at least it would be new. 6 is getting pretty boring too, since I'll be on my 3rd time for it too. I'm pretty confident I'll be passing 2 exams this year; if I don't, I may need to sign up for remedial CAS classes or something.

First try coming up. I've never failed an odd-numbered exam, nor a CAS exam. (Okay, I passed Part 1 and CAS Part 3 on the first try. How's that for a low credibility data set?) Anyway, I'm hoping for some destiny here, but am studying better than I have for previous exams.

It's the first time for my study partner and me. I meet her on the subway at 8:30 am on Saturdays, and she picks me up at 8:30 am on Sundays. It's the only way to actually get out of bed and read this stuff.

Try #1 for me.

I think it's much better than six, and I've never seen 7, but I'm sure not looking forward to it!

Agreed. I think it's much better than Part 6 too. I sat for that for the first time this last fall. I hated it and got pretty well muddled down. I think it was the unfamiliar material combined with the fact that it was my first upper sitting. I'm hoping to pick this one off as well as 6 this year.

First Time. Still 2.5 weeks worth of articles to read. At least I made it over the CPCU hump.

I never even saw this thread. This is my first time taking a higher level exam and I am a nervous wreck.

Good luck to everyone. :) I hope the graders can read my usually inlegible hand writing.
