When do we think results will come out for the recent 7 Pretest?

When did they come out for February?

Two weeks for February. I'm hoping that's the start of a trend, myself... :)

I am doomed, no one with a candidate as high as mine has ever passed

I passed too. I guess I'll have to wait to find out if I'll be going to Chicago or not.

Yeah, I passed too. Hope to see you in Chicago Paul.

What is the story on Chicago enrollment? Thanks!

I just got an email of confirmation for Chicago (in the last few minutes).

Did you ask for confirmation...or did they automatically send it?

Is Chicago full for June?

Paul Brand

Did you ask for confirmation...or did they automatically send it? I asked when I would receive it (about 15-20 minutes ago), and I got nearly immediate feedback. However, the email wasn't addressed to me specifically. It seemed to be a mass mailing email. I guess it doesn't hurt to ask for it. I got the email from Judy Carney, the same person who sent you the C7 Seminar pre-reading material.

I also applied for the Seminar early (Jan 24), so I have better chances than most other passers of acceptance.

No idea if the Seminar is full or not.

I submitted my application on April 1. However I have not received any type of confirmation....

Getting a bit nervous now.

Let's consider the available data. Based on the available pass rates, and the number of people passing the larger seminars, I figure about 120 people are accpeted to each Seminar amongst the 3 sessions.

# of passers
April 1:
213
Feb 4:
199
Dec 3:
129

I kind of doubt that many of the February passers would have applied for the March Seminar. Maybe some did, I don't know. What I really don't know is why there are more pre-test passers during the year than Seminar seats available.

For some reason I can't open the link to the Course 7 Seminar Application....wondering if they're making changes to it.

Likewise I wonder the same thing. I guess I'll be attending the Seattle session if I don't get into the Chicago Session (at least it better be Seattle and no later). Getting too close to November 3....got to write 8V.

Actually, I would also question why they would send out the pre-readings if you have not been confirmed for the seminar.

I don't know exactly why they would, but they said they would. If your application hasn't been rejected yet, they'll send you the materials.

I couldn't access the file either. Perhaps a lot of people are viewing it, or maybe they are making change to it.

I think they were making changes to it -- it now shows Chicago as closed.

Well hopefully it's Seattle here I come...otherwise...I going to be pretty ticked off.

I passed too, but unfortunately I haven't applied for a seminar. I was hoping for Seattle. I really, really hope I'm not too late!

I pre-registered for the Seattle seminar when i registered for the pre-test.
Does anyone know what you need to do to update your registration status after you pass the pre-test? Does it happen automatically, or do you need to contact the SOA?

This pre-test seminar crap is gay....I mean why in the heck are there not enough seminar spots when your applying 2.5 months in advance.

You have your seminar pre-reading materials already? I signed up back in December or January and never received mine. I was assuming they wait until closer to the seminar. Guess I better contact Judy Carney...

They sent me an email with the relevant web-link. They don't mail you any materials.

The only emails they sent me were confirming that they had received my registration (no links) and one with a link to the corrected laptop specs. No email with links to any reading materials. I got my ticket of admission long ago, so I know I'm in.

Oh well, I emailed Judy Carney so hopefully she'll get back to me soon. I suppose it's possible our company spam filter got to it first, but I've gotten other emails (the two mentioned above) from her, so that seems unlikely.

She asks you to email confirmation that you received her email, so I would think she would have caught it if you didn't reply at all.

Interesting. So I guess for whatever reason I was completely left off the distribution list. Yet I got the other emails about them receiving my registration and about the revised laptop specs. Rather disturbing. I haven't heard back from her yet.

I didn't reply to her until today (because I didn't carefully read through the email before). Nothing was received in the interim.

Heard back from Judy. She’s attributing it to my company’s spam filter, since the email contains a link. (Though I get a lot of emails with links, including the one from her about the laptop specs.)

Funny I e-mailed Judy and received absolutely no reply.

Is it possible that the e-mail she's sending are being blocked?

When I emailed her back at the end of the day to tell her I got the email with the link, I got an out-of-office auto reply. So if you suspect her emails are being blocked, try sending one now and see if you get the autoreply. (I'm sure she'd appreciate me advocating flooding her inbox with test emails... ;) )

I just received an e-mail asking which seminar I would like to switch to since the June Seminar is filled. When I replied to that e-mail I received an e-mail stating that Judy was out of the office.
