I'm considering takeing a seminar to help me prepare for course 2. Does anyone know about the Georgia State Seminar?
Also, where do I find the CSM manual?
Thanks....

If you are going to seminar for course 2 make sure Bob Batten is teaching the interest theory material. Trust me!! You can learn the other stuff on your own. See my post in "Nov Course 2 Study Suggestions".

I've heard such great things about Batten but have never had him. I went to the GSU seminar and the IT section was taught by Treadway. I found it to be extremely helpful. I guess Batten could be better, but Treadway was great. I found the Micro section to be less helpful than I had hoped but the Macro and Finance section was excellent as well. I guess what I am saying is, yes, the seminar at GSU is great (even without Batten).

I also had Tredway for Interest Theory, both for 140 and Course 2. (Passed 140 with a 9 even though traffic was a nightmare that morning and I walked in to the exam room as the proctor announced "You may begin.") and I passed Course 2 on my first attempt with an 8, thanks mostly to my knowledge of Interest Theory.

Why did you have to take 140 and course 2?

Never passed 100. Took it in Feb 98 just to see it. Hadn't taken Calc since Fall 95. After seeing the exam, I knew I didn't want to relearn all of that crap again, so I took advantage of the 110=Course 1 conversion and put my 25 Extra credits (10 from 140, 15 from 130) towards my PD. Now I only need to get my EA Designation to get my PD, and since I work in pensions, I'd be getting that anyway.

Agreed with l'Hopital. I went to GSU, and benefitted from every aspect, with the possible exception of micro. I found Tredway to be outstanding for Interest Theory, and Eisemann outstanding for macro and finance.

I was there a year later. Doesn't sound like it changed at all. Same instructors etc...
