This is a continuation of a conversation in another thread...
Oddly enough, I know that one even though the Bucky Dent to NY deal is a wee bit before my time. I remember him leaving and that he went to the Rangers, but not who for. I do recall who he lost his job to before being traded. Do you?

Bucky went to Texas for none other than Lee Mazilli. He had a short stint as a player, but after many years with the Mets, he is now back with the Yanks.
The shortstop that replaced BD was a guy named Smalley.
What do you think is the worst trade they have made? I vote for Leiter for Barfield. He is still around more than a decade later as the ace of the other NY team and Barfield was a big disappointment.

Ugh. Dale Murray. You can't fault the Yanks for moving McGriff (they had some guy named Mattingly coming up at first), but Murray? Sheesh.
As far as the worst trade, who did we deal for Britt Burns? I honestly don't remember, but if it was anyone even remotely valuable, we really got burned on that one.
'We', cause I'm employed by the Yanks. :)
