Just curious. I have met quite a few actuaries who never watch any TV, and others who watch a great deal of TV.

Personally, my TV is 51" Wide Screen, HDTV, and I LOVE it.

I just bought a 50" HD widescreen. The only problem is that it makes you realized that the quality of regular cable is extremely bad.

Don't I know it! I just moved. Had DirecTV for 2 years but my apartment is on the third floor and the company wouldn't install it without being able to ground it at my new place, so I went with the digital cable, which sucks. I am going to install the dish myself in about 3-4 weeks. Would do it sooner, except I paid for the Baseball package to see my Mets and there is no refund on those packages, but I have to have the dish up in time for Football season!

By the way, Hughes now makes an HD Satellite receiver that can also descramble the local channels that are transmitted in HD, if you have an antenna.

And from everything I've heard, even for the Non-HD Satellite channels, the reception is MUCH better. If it's anything like the difference between Dish and Cable on a regular TV, I know I'll be much happier with the dish!
