I noticed in the Fall 2005 catalogue that it excludes to mention the condition that one must appear for the Course 7 seminar within 12 months of writing the Pre-Test or else the Pre-Test must be re-written. Does anyone know if that condition has been dropped or whether it has been mentioned elsewhere in the catalogue?

I agree that it does not appear in the Fall catalogue. Perhaps, since course 7 is only offered until December 2006, they have dropped the requirement.

current catalog spells out that pre-test once passed does not expire

p.55/106. 2nd sentence under "Pre-Test".

Does anyone know if this is retroactive. For example, I wrote the Pre-Test in April 1, 2005. Does it expire?

I wrote a pre-test on April 1, 2005, and I passed it. I am ASA. I am not sure if the pre-test is only valid for 12 months before the Seminar. Can I successfully register for the Chicago's Seminar this year, or I need to take the pre-test again?

Thanks.

Judging by the two posts above, I'd say your pre-test is good.

But before you commit your $1,100 to the application, e-mail Judy Carney and explain your situation. She replies fairly quickly.

1150(1+r)^(t/365)

where r = the yield on your favorite savings account and t = days between payment and seminar date.
