Course 7 Boston Hotel Rates

I am registered for course 7 in Boston this August. The hotel rates quoted on the SOA site is $135 and that's also the rate that Mariott gave me over the phone and also my travel agent. However, when I check out their website, I can find something much cheaper (like 77.95, 99.95 or 119.95). Should I change my booking? Do the Course 7 ppl stay together in a block of rooms or close to the conference facility or something?

(I am planning on arriving there the Sat before and leaving the Sat after...maybe that has an effect on the rates)

If you plan on arriving early and staying late, I would recommend not staying at the location of the conference. The conference is held in Bulington which is about 30 minutes from downtown in the middle of no where. Stay in Boston when you are not at the seminar!

The Burlington location is not far from the Alewife MBTA. It is a tolerable train ride, and it is also not far from Lexington, Concord, and Walden Pond, if you like history.

I think Burlington, while far from downtown, is reasonably well connected to local attractions.
