Just curious if any of you use a planner and what kind.

Palm with Franklin Planner Software. Mostly use the Palm stuff, though. I've seen far worse.

I use a planner to take notes in, a to do list (usually have about 10 different projects at a any one time), and use the calendar for appointments (usually have 5 or so per week).
For the majority who answered that they do not use anything: How do you keep track of projects/appointments/internal meetings/deadlines/etc?

In the past had a planner and used it regularly. Now I have a PDA (Palm M100 or something low end) and use it every so often.
Probably don't use my PDA much since I have Outlook and Money that handles most things.

I used to have a Franklin and only used it every so often. Got a Palm Vx and LOVED it and used it all the time. Best thing was I didn't have to keep everything on Outlook and a planner. Now I just Sync everything to my PDA. I have since switched to a color Sony Clie with High resolution and love it.

I have a Daytimer and I use it, but somewhat irregularly. I have to keep a calendar on Outlook so that others can use it for meeting planning, and I'm not 100% faithful in transferring things to the planner. It's helpful when I am, though!
No interest in a PDA, though. As I've said before, if I need a portable calendar, I'd prefer one that doesn't malfunction if I drop it in a snowbank.

You left out the option "Wife".
(I think she'd also be OK if dropped in a snowbank. I'll test this in a few months and report back.)

I don't gbet it. Your wife keeps track of all your apponitments, deadlines, and meetings? Does she work with you?

ANYway... good intentions and all that... i usually buy one, use it for a week, leave it somewhere like the car seat or the endtable in the den and don't see it for a month, then find it and think... "why bother"

I don't understand why I got an eyeroll. It was a legitimate, non-baiting type question. I honestly don't see how your wife can keep track of all your meetings etc.
I especially do not understand why the eyeroll came from Pi Man. :-?

I got me an iPaq that I use in conjunction with my laptop (they talk to each other via infrared). Then to bludgeon a deceased equine, I have a collapsable keyboard for my iPaq, when I dont want to burden myself with a bulky laptop. :) I really AM a nerd, I guess.

Pocket calendar -- my family calls it my "brain" -- at least they admit I have one

ok - looks like i have to clean up another one of my fax passes... foa paz... little mistakes. it seemed like a silly question, so i gagged along.... obviously the wife doesn't track his meetings. my wife is the calendar keeper of our house. this allows me to be ignorant of all events, remaining worry-free until the last possible moment. WORK is another thing altogether. i keep all appointments in the email calendar manager. little messages pop up to remind me to jump up out of my chair and run somewhere to meet someone.
no offense intended, guys... :)
