Has anyone ever had their project rejected by the SOA? WHat happened? Was it sent back to you to re-do?

How long ago did you send it in?

Just curious.

The SOA received my plan on July 13 (30 days ago).

How did they inform you. Through email?

Yes, by email.

I can't take it any longer. I filed my PD on July 19. Based on Rambler93's filing date and approval last week, I should hear back this week. I filed a plan with 54.5 credits so it should pass. However, I fear I will be the second person to answer yes to the poll question above.

Did you hear anything yet?

Not yet! I hope I will hear tomorrow since I am leaving on vacation for 9 days on Saturday.

send them an email. You usually hear back from them right after you ask them about it.

I sent them an email but I have not heard back. I guess I will not know if I have it completed when I leave for vacation. This stinks!

Got approval via email yesterday. Actually I emailed late Friday for an update. Not sure if that email made a difference, but it didn't hurt. That put it at about 3.5 weeks.

Got mine approves early this week also. 3.5 weeks

Got mine on Monday as well. Also 3.5 weeks.

How long does it take to get the FAC registration stuff. "Space permitting" is out of my control if I don't have the forms to send in. Does the FAC usually fill up?

I heard that it does. I don't know how long it takes to get the forms.

There were posts around this time last year saying that people at the SOA had told pd candidates that they would expand the FAC rather than turn people away b/c they had filled all the original slots. I'm hoping to squeeze in my pd acceptance right before the FAC registration deadline (other posters last year said the SOA told them they could register even after the deadline passed) so I'm very hopeful that they don't fill up. I've heard of other people squeezing in at the last minute. I will be very unhappy if I have to wait until next March.

I have emailed the SOA and they have the same comment this year.
"We do maintain registration open, space permitting, past the posted registration deadline until every available space is taken."

I am glad to hear that it only takes them 3.5 weeks to reply because I sent in mine on August 10 which is a bit less than 6 weeks. I also have a project included in my PD.
For those who got their PD accepted within 3 to 4 weeks, did you do a project as well?

Does needing to have fewer credits approved translate to faster approval time? Does a 10-credit pd plan get approved any faster than a 50-credit plan?

I had a project. Got the application in email and fax it right back and got a confirmation already. I am in!

My PD was approved while I was on vacation. Fortunately, my advisor told a friend who called me while I was out of the office. All-in-all, it took the SOA just under 5 weeks to approve my PD. I sent the registration fax to the SOA about an hour ago. Have to wait and see if I get in to November although I don't think it will be an issue.
