I don't like the show that just came on, so I would like to change the channel. But the closest remote is way over by my other PC - probably 5-7 feet away. What should I do?

I thought I'd get some solutions to this major problem of mine. Fortunately, someone stopped by, and I was able to get the remote without getting up.
