Do you think we should mail in homework for NEAS Time Series? Previously they have said homework should be mailed to NEAS at 2 week intervals. Are they accepting/recording this information prior to approval?

i'm taking the macro course - but i was told by admin that i shouldn't email them in every 2 weeks, and should just wait til the end, and mail in all 24 modules. and to photocopy all of them in case something gets lost...doesn't really leave me much hope in the company if they are worried about losing them :-P

NEAS is one big dissapointment. :-P

When I emailed them about their FAQs, their response was "Those were written when we first started this. They are not accurate."

then don't call 'em FAQs! $295 has officially been wasted :-)

Does anyone know if the economics courses were recently approved, or if they just weren't up for approval like the stats classes were this time?

Everything was approved through 2007 accept that App. Stat. classes. They were approved through Sep 2005. So to answer your question only the Stat classes were up for reapproval.

NEAS UPDATE TODAY (don't get your hopes up)

Re: Status of approval for the Regression Analysis ad Time Series VEE Courses. (11/29/05)

Currently we are still awaiting approval for these courses from the SOA.

The SOA has asked us to submit additional information regarding these courses which we have provided. We do not know when we will hear back from them. At this time this is all the information we have and are not sure whether we will hear back from them in time to schedule the final exams and post information about the student projects. As soon as we have any additional information, we will inform students.

If you would like to cancel your enrollment at this time, please contact the NEAS office.
