I think I found a mistake in the Averbach/Mehta course 1 manual. Does anyone care?

If so, here it is:
Calculus - Chapter 3 - Page 6
Example 3-14:

1. The answer is not listed among the multiple choices.

2. The answer is also incorrect. My solution was 15000 with x = 150 and y = 100.

Any thoughts?

I don't have the book with me right now. But, I know that there are some mistakes. I will check your answer later.

You are correct Fiden. The area is 1500 square yards and y=100 and x=150.

Thanks for confirming that. I just found a misprint, too. In the reprint of the November 2000 Course 1 Exam, Question 13 reads H(t) = t^2 +102. The actual exam reads H(t) = 6t^2 + 102. This stumped me for a while. I hope this helps some folks.
