Well, the class is officially 4 weeks through. Think we can stick a fork in this sitting now? Next Friday is the deadline to register for the CAS transitional exams. You all might want to consider the fact that there is no guarantee that the session that starts in mid-January will be approved either. If not, you could be stuck waiting until May to do this class(s). This sucks a big one so bad. I hate VEE. I have 200+ college credit hours in my name and I STILL have a "college course" slowing me down!!!!!!! THIS IS SO MADDENING!!!!!!!!

Next Friday is the registration deadline for 1/P. The deadline for VEE registration is listed as Jan 5th.

I'll probably keep plugging through on NEAS homework for another week or 2, and try to get all the HW complete by then. I would expect a decision on the Winter session (and maybe the Spring) by then. If the news is not good (or not available) by then, I'll switch gears and cram for the CAS exam.

I completely understand your frustration, as I'm in the same situation. I have given up on this session of the Time Series course. I remain hopeful for a miracle this holiday season....perhaps the SOA will approve this course in time for the winter sitting. But I have my doubts. I am not going to take the CAS exam in February. My plan, for better or worse, is to wait a little longer for the NEAS approval. If that doesn't come through, I will plan on taking the CAS exam in the summer. I imagine they will offer it again in August....Of course at that time I will also be taking the first FAP exam. Can't wait for summer!

I'm gonna make plans to take the transitional exams. If the Christmas miracle happens (neas getting approved), then I'll cancel my registration.
