My company has 4 people that might be sitting for a certainCAS VEE exam. The city I work in (Louisville) is not a listed exam center for the CAS...understandably since there are no p/c companies here. My question is, if we have enough people needing to take this exam at my company, could we get a test center added here? Otherwise, our students would have to travel 2 hrs. to either Indianapolis or Cincinnati to take this exam.
Can anyone connected with the CAS or experience in this sort of thing comment on it? If so, who would we contact?
Thanks!

does your company host exams on the normal schedule? have the person who's the "coordinator" call the CAS to see if you can be a center for the VEE.

it may not work, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

I am not 100% certain, but if there is a CAS Fellow on site to proctor, doesn't the CAS usually allow the exam to be given almost anywhere?

My company hosts the higher level SOA exams. I do not know if we have a FCAS on site (my guess is no) since we are a health company.
I've been asked by the person in charge of our student program to look into this. I'll email the CAS and see what they say.
Thanks for your input!

I believe the last offering of the VEEs here was at a life company, which doesn't appear to have an FCAS either. I would guess they will be pretty receptive to the idea, but just probably never considered Louisville since there are no P/C companies there (and what P/C company in their right mind would want to go there?!?!).

I emailed the CAS and we'll see what they say. I would think an FSA would be sufficient. This is just a VEE exam with only a couple hundred exam takers.

Actually there is a P&C company in Louisville called Kentucky Farm Bureau with an FCAS and they host the CAS exams. Give them a call.
