I'd like to get a graduate level book to see if I am really interested in getting a master's in finance...recommend a good book please :)

Thanks for the recommendation ex. It just came in the mail yesterday. Perusing through it, I am very impressed that it was able to explain just about every basic concept of quantitative finance without any ugly math. The first 5 chapters or so are qualitative explanation - the absence of which had usually caused me to balk at buying these types of books.

+1 on Liar's Poker - it's outdated but a good look at some of the lifestyle changes you'd be making.
I haven't read it - but many people say Monkey Business is also very good. Do a google search for quantitative finance forums - there's one (don't remember which) with a book section.

Didn't even read the body, just the title. You do not want a textbook for investment banking - unless you are structuring you don't do much theoretical finance.
