How long do you think it will take to prepare for the CAS VEE stat exam? I was thinking around 75Hrs

I'll probably put in a hundred. My ASM manual is supposed to come on Monday and then I'll get started. It is a shame that the Neas class still is not approved. All I need is time series. Ugh.

Time series is the hard topic on this exam. Out of the 100 hrs you are estimating for the exam, probably 70% will go to time series anyway.

I wanted to vote for 126 hours but my hands were tied by the non-exhaustive poll choices.

LOL....there's a dork in every poll that makes some comment about a certain option not being there.

You're a dork.Relax, dude. :smoke:
It makes no sense to not make the 100-125 poll choice 100+ (or include a 125+ option); that's all that I was driving at.
P.S. I don't spend any time in the exam fora, so if this practice of poking fun at defective polls is as widespread as Buhlmann's k says it is, then my sincerest apologies.
Now, off to the Reef I go... :D

it is widespread indeed. and no apology necessary. we are ALL dorks and we know it. just tell any stranger about this message board we all go to and you'll get a "you're a dork" from them. :)

I think 100 hours will be enough. I have passed the August Exam by putting arround 100 hours and I have never studied both Regression and Time Series before.

Can I change my answer to 0 now that NEAS has finally gotten approval?
