Okay, I'm WW again as of today (took a 1.5 month break over the holiday--didn't gain anything, but certainly didn't lose either). I have a Points target of 18 for the day. I've been getting a breakfast sandwich at the cafeteria at work. I tallied it up on the online points counter--OMG! 13 pts! So between that and 2 chocolate chip cookies (left over from Christmas  ), I have 1 point left for the day. Ugh. Obviously going over today, but hopefully only by 3 or 4 pts.
So the question is: are there any ideas out there for good breakfasts that aren't so heavy? I really dislike cereal and other sweet breakfasts, but that's what I usually end up eating when I'm dieting. The thought of having boxed cereal for breakfast every day is depressing (and oatmeal or yogurt with granola are all in the same boat here).

I often eat eggs for breakfast. The protein stays with you longer. I can usually make it to lunch without feeling hungry.
I eat 2 eggs, and either some whole wheat toast or a piece of fruit.

Mushroom omelet made w/egg beaters and imitation egg whites:
1 egg (30 cal/0 fat)
2 egg whites (50 cal/0 fat)
6 lg mushrooms sliced (20 cal/ ? fat) <-- I buy frozen veg, this amt is based on 2/3 c of mushrooms, so I guestimate high on portion
1 slice ff/lf cheese (??) < -- don't usually use
Based on my cookbook, this was supposed to be 167 cal meal, but that's using real eggs. Obviously, this one is way less, also cuts out the fat.
I also had 2 slices turkey bacon (40 cal / ? fat) and 1 slice light wheat bread (40 cal/ ? fat)
I'm still full!!
BTW, I know you need fiber, but I don't have that handy! Good luck!

For the month of December I did Turkey Bacon Sandwiches for breakfast. 2 pieces of Turkey Bacon, 2 pieces Wheat Bread, Mayo. I'm sure the Mayo killed it, but I figured it was okay since I was having Slimfast for Lunch.
low fat/cat vege omlete. use a non-stick pan and no butter, or just a tad of pam. onions, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes and 2 eggs. that's about 250-300 calories. add in some reduced fat cheese for another 50 cals.
egg sandwich. one "fried egg" (use nonstick pan w or w/o pam), slice of canadian bacon, slice of low fat cheese, english muffin. that's about 300-350 cals.

I just have a granola bar each morning, usually one of those Nature Valley chewy granola bars with yogurt on the bottom. It's pretty delicious and keeps my stomach thinking there's food in it so it doesn't go berserk. I save my "real" eating for lunch and dinner.

If I'm looking for fast, I'll do either:
A mini-whole wheat bagel with low fat peanut butter and fruit or V-8
A bowl of Kashi GoLean Crunch with a small piece of low fat cheese and fruit or V-8
One Kashi Go Lean Waffle, low-fat cheese and fruit or V-8
If I have a little more time, I might cook turkey bacon or canadian bacon for the protein part, or do a salsa omlette.

I've been eating this for about 6 months and I haven't gotten sick of it yet (I just decreased the portion size since I've been back on the WW diet.)
About 1/4 cup of frozen berries (I use raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, etc.)
Nuke the berries for about a minute or so on low power so they defrost a bit.
Add 1/2 cup of fat free plain yogurt and 1/2 cup of Go Lean Crunch cereal.
I get fat free plaing yogurt that has several grams of fiber per serving, and Go lean has like 4 grams in a 1/2 cup.
So, this breakfast is so full of fiber that I eat it about 7:30 AM and I'm not hungry until 11:30 or 12 when I eat lunch. I keep all the ingredients in the office...then I don't have any excuse not to eat a good breakfast.
EDIT - Maine-iac and I seem have similar tastes, if you swap the cheese and V8 for berries!
This is 3 points, if you're on WW.
Another one I started doing at home...
Take two whole wheat waffles (Eggos) and toast them, top them with a 1/2 cup of berries. 4 points! If I feel like splurging, I'll spread 1/2 tblsp of Nutella on one of the waffles, so you get some chocolate in there (+1 point.)
Again, the fiber keeps me full until noonish.

Breakfast is the most important meal. Skipping (or skimping on) breakfast can throw the rest of your feeding off for the day.
I need more time for breakfast. This will involve going to bed earlier the night before. Currently, I eat a protein bar and drink a glass of milk.
I'll try to scramble up some eggs, and find something healthy in the refrigerator to mix into it. This and making kids' (and my own) lunches sure mkaes the morning a bit rushed.
