I think

1. there were 3-4 ruin type questions.

I can't confirm your other statements from memory at this point. there was also of course a lot of life contingencies and some normal loss dist stuff.

I think the complexity of problems on May '02 exam 3 took a step up. There were more steps to the average question allowing them to test more concepts on each problem vis-a-vis the published exams. Since they did this without lowering the percentage of candidates passing I would expect a continuation of this trend.
