As I mentioned in the original thread, I was 221 when I weighed in on Sunday morning after the holidays (actually that was 1/1).
Last Sunday, I weighed in at 218. Goal is 200 lbs.
My biggest challenges are late nite snacking and just keeping portions under control. Trying to cut down on the soda and french fries type of thing by drinking water and having a side salad instead.
I'll update this post weekly until my goal is reached or I give up, hopefully the former.
1/1 : 221
1/8 : 218
1/15 : 216
1/22 : 216
1/29 : 215
2/5 : 215.5
2/12 : 214.5
2/19 : 212 !!

:bump: for buried awesomeness!
We need to get everyone's progress posted into the weekly weigh-in thread... there's weight loss going untracked here! (Sorry, to make your life difficult, UA)

Jables - Thanks for the bump, but I couldn't find my thread anymore....I was used to going to the end of the list!
2/26 Update : 212 still....I think last week was a fluke, but I'm happy that I was able to maintain it at least. It seems like 0.5 pounds here and there is nothing after all the hard work you put in, but you have to look at it in the long term. If I did that for a year, that would be 26 pounds off which is over my goal.
And I've done all this really just through good old fashioned self control. As I mentioned, late nite snacking was my downfall. Ice cream or a bag of chips and salsa, that kind of thing. Now I'll have an apple or a banana instead. If I could just stop drinking soda, I'd be all over this thing. Lent starts in a couple days, though, so I think I'm going to make the sacrifice and cut off the pop for Jesus. And once it warms up a bit, a good evening walk should help me maintain the weight, but for now I've not really done any exercise to speak of. So I'm pretty confident that I'll hit my goal by July at the latest.
Now my wife kind of let herself go after our twins were born in July '05. Not that she let herself go (that's kinda mean), but she had enough going on that she just wasn't really all that concerned about bouncing back to her pre-pregnancy weight. She's always done well on the Weight Watchers type of thing in the past. She needs structure as she's not much of a cook and doesn't want to spend all day chopping vegetables, etc. So she signed up for NutriSystem this time. She been on it for just over a month now, and she's lost 11 pounds already! Her goal is about 30, which would put her about 10 pounds under her pre-pregnancy weight.
So it helps to have some support from the spouse as well. It's been nice to see us both stick to things, and we're about 20 pounds lighter combined since the first of the year.

the eating choices you make while juggling the addition of twins are usually done for convenience, so I can see how the weight has been hard to shed.
good luck with it. take the long view (like you said 52 x 0.5 = 26).
good luck.

And the wife is down 15.5 now. She's now past her half way point. I'm a half pound from my half way point.

3/19 : 212...bad week.
But I managed to get sick on Sunday afternoon with a real bad case of stomach cramps and diarrhea! That should put me back on track!
I'm OK and at work today, but yesterday I really felt like crap.
I do find I'm falling into my bad habits of snacking after dinner. I need to keep that under control and snack with a banana or apple or something instead of some chips or popcorn or whatever. The other day I wolfed down the leftover pork roast from dinner the night or two before. I justified it to myself that I didn't want it to go to waste, but it was a half pound of meat easily right before I went to bed. (It sure tasted good, though)

The illness seemed to do the trick. A mid-week Tuesday morning weigh-in puts me at 210! Now over my half way point.

Last two weeks have been OK.
4/9 : 208
4/16 : 208
Man, am I ever going to get there, or will I succumb to gigantic portions of grilled meats as summer approaches?
That's 62% of my weight loss goal achieved, though, in only 3 1/2 months. Once again, you have to look at the long term. I'm still 4 lbs. ahead of the same time last month.
Need that push to the finish line to kick in. Weather's starting to get nice, so maybe I can manage to get some exercise in.

You can do it! Just think, the more you exercise, the more grilled meat you earn! :D

I've been busy the last couple of weeks, so I haven't been able to check in.
Still at 208 as of this morning (5/2).
At least I'm managing to keep the weight off. Once again, I figured I didn't gain it all in a month, and I'm not going to lose it all in a month either. But I'd like to keep making some progress. need to focus. That bowl of ice cream last night before bed didn't help.
