Does anyone know what the pass rate for the past couple of exams was? I am nervous about the desk and will probably be borderline passing. Thanks for the info!

Try writing the last few exams, also available on the SOA website. I don't think there's been any determination of how many correct answers it takes to pass for course 1, but I've always used a rough rule of thumb of about 60%.

Do we know whether the exam will be tougher than the previous few, since the exam time is now 4 hours?

I always assume that there will be some new wrinkles in the exam. As a general rule, however, the prior exams are the best available indication of what the next exam will look like.

But how about the pass mark for C1? will it go up because of the increased time?

The reason we have more time is because students complained that 3 hours was not enough to get to all the questions. Hence, we shall definately see an increase in the questions answered and a decrease in guesses, leading to higher scores and eventually a higher passing level.

What do you guys think of this logic?

Your logic makes a lot of sense but I still hope you're wrong. I really NEED the lower pass rate! Good luck to everyone tomorrow!!
