How closely related are Course 3 & 4 and would any of you suggest sitting for both of them at the same time. What is the main difference between the two. Thanks for the info.

Do not write these at the same time. It's just not really feasible, especially if you don't have prior exposure to the material.
Course 3 can be worked more from first principles. It covers life contingencies, ruin theory, simulation, stochastic processes, and some loss models.
Course 4 requires intensive formula memorization. It covers the rest of loss models and simulation, regression, time series, survival analysis, and credibility.
You can sit for Course 4 before Course 3 if you have a more statistical background, but I would not take them at the same time. There is just too much material to fit in your brain.
