And if you don't know anything about GSU, what about NEAS course 4 seminar? Or any course 4 seminar?

..nobody answered bama. What about NEAS for Course 4? I know Mahler is a little dry, but....

I went to NEAS last spring for Course 4. While I didn't pass then, that was my fault due to some personal life ickiness, not the fault of the seminar instructors.

Seminars are boring. They just are. It's really exhausting to sit in a room for 6 days, 8 hours a day, and learn about exam topics. That said, this seminar was really good, especially Mahler's portion. You need to be familiar with the topics ahead of time, or you will be blown away. I think I got the most benefit from the credibility portion of the seminar - I absolutely nailed those questions on the exam because Mahler's way of approaching it is so logical. You can get this from his study guides, but it helps to have him explain it. For me, a seminar helps because I get a lot more benefit out of being in one for 48 study hours than just trying to learn the material on my own. It also helps to hear other people's questions. Pai's stuff on regression and survival analysis is pretty good - the time series stuff was brutal because it is mostly just memorization. Overall, I really recommend this seminar. If you go to the one in Chicago, make sure you bring food or find another place to eat, because the food at the Holiday Inn is terrible.
