On the top, question 5:

"Anticipated loss development on known/reported claims is isnlcuded in he IBNR/Bulk reserves, not in the case reserves. "

I don't quite understand this, what is included in case reserves and what is not?

I believe he is referring to IBNER, which is part of bulk/IBNR not a component of the case reserve. Case reserve is strictly incurred amount to date less the paid...nothing for anticipated development.

Case reserves are the amounts set by the claims adjusters - their best estimate of what individual claims will amount to.
