This morning I finished a preliminary actuary job site that can be accessed from any Internet-ready phone or PDA (like a Palm or PocketPC with a WAP browser). If you go to a wireless phone emulator like http://www.ttemulator.com or http://www.gelon.net , and type in the http://www.wirelessactuary.com URL, you can see it. (The site WON'T work on a standard PC-based browser because it's written in a different language, not HTML.)

Bump.

I'm curious as to whether anyone here has visited this?

I looked at it a couple of times on my old phone. But now I have a Treo and can visit most HTML sites.

Looks good other than when I went into the job listings. I couldn't get in, I got a 'yes' button and what looked like a scroll down bar that wasn't clickable. I was using Mozilla through one of those converter websites so things may be a bit goofy on my end.

How about "Next Job" instead of going back to submenu?

Good suggestion. I will work that in there when I overhaul that site. I have to update the salary survey on wirelessactuary.com, too.

That's one of the things that's so frustrating with WML, even the most basic WML that I'm using. It's hard to figure out whether problems reside with the myriad browsers or with the site.

Which is one of the reasons why McUSA says:

That's how I got away from WAP sites, too. The new phones and PDAs handle HTML great.

Thanks!
