Good book to learn from

I found that book to not be on an exam syllabus. No time for that crap for me. :yikes:

I find most Springer texts to be quite concise and theoretical. Most graduate level mathematics and physics texts are Springer books. Not sure they are appropriate for an actuarial exam syllabus.
