Looks like there were 147 passers. Does anyone know if the numbering system started fresh for this sitting? (i.e., can we assume that there were approximately 530 people sitting?)
If so, the pass rate is under 30%. Ouch!
I realize some folks may have registered & not sat or the numbering system may include people who registered for an earlier session & passed and therefore weren't in the pool of candidates this time.
Anyone have a low number that had not sat for a transitional exam previously?

weren't pass rates for summer sitting in the 50-60% range? you think they would drop that much? maybe they aren't curved, and are just based on straight up # questions correct?
i hope econ vee is released soon...so i can confirm my failure and move on :-D

For the summer session, there were 150 passing candidates (out of 220 sitting).
I don't think we can assume approximately 530 people sitting for the Applied Stats VEE because the Economics and Finance exams were administered the same day. I think the 530 would probably reflect the number of candidates sitting for at least one exam.

Does anybody know if we have to send grade slips or anything to the SOA? Or is any administrative work already taken care of, so that they'll recognize these results for a CAS-administered exam.

OK good - that makes much more sense. I was a bit worried there!

I pass too. This is great!
Is this it, or we need to do admin stuff with the SOA for them to validate the VEE.

I'm sorry, I don't. After the exam, as we discussed them, I know there were a few that I thought I got right that I botched. So I am thankful to have passed.
From a previous exam, I think I saw a post that the pass mark might have been 9 questions right.

I'm not certain about the pass mark. From the PAK it was looking like I was having 9 or 10 right and I passed. Nine seems as good a guess for the pass mark as any.

According to the PAK, I got 9 and I passed.
I was a bit stunned but very happy to see that I passed. The good news perked up the day's studies; course C in May. Congrats to all!

I wrote to the SOA asking what do we need to do to get the credit and their answer was:
"For the CAS VEE transitional exams we don't need any further application from you. The CAS will communicate passing candidates to our registrar directly. You'll see the VEE credit on your next gradeslip or transcript."
Just in case anyone was wondering.
Cool, i've been out of town for 10 days and came back to this unexpected good news. I thought results wouldn't be out until mid-April, and I thought for sure I failed, so this is great news. Now if I can get 6 passed I'll have my ASA wrapped up. What a relief!
