I think it would be nice if exam progress and length of experiences in the acturial field can be added to the profile.

hmmmm. thanks for the thought. it's possible, but not likely to get done right now.
I've kicked around some ideas like what you suggested (I'm assuming you are trying to market yourself to employers?). In the meantime, don't be shy; through your wants/needs/desires in a post in the careers section. I think there might already be a thread for people to post their info for potential employers.

I don't like it. One of the nice things about the forum now is that all kinds of people chime in and their opinion is weighted by their reputation (prior posts) and quality of the current post. Joe Blow and Sally Sue could both reply with some good but contradictory advice in the Career area. Would the original poster (or other readers) really give them equal weight if Joe Blow had "FSA - 25 years exp" tacked onto his ID and Sally Sue had "1 exam - 0.5 years exp" on hers, or would they just assume Sally was out of her depth? On the flip side, some people might be really chatty with Joe, but feel intimidated by the "25 years exp" part.

I just feel that it would help us to understand the post better if we know more about the author in terms of actuarial background. But it is OK if it is too late for this to be done at this point. Thank you for all of your response. I find this Forum very helpful.

If anyone wants to specifically say "I'm a Fellow, and on this issue I think..." then they can go ahead and do it. Anything more formal, and I think it starts to look like the nice people who run this forum are certifying the accuracy of the information. I don't think Glenn and Traci really want to be held responsible for that!
(For instance, when considering the above you should be aware that I am the former Queen of Roumania (abdicated).)

Unless I am familiar with a poster, I take everthing they say with a grain of salt. I do that with some posters I am familiar with. :P

I like to add some Cuervo and a lemon to that grain of salt.

There's one former poster I use lots of salt on. Wish he were here.

Great idea! That way lurkers with possible stalking problems will be able to figure you out more easily!

Very excellent - and very correct - points (as are e.g. Pseudo's and Maxine's)
