All relatives are in town, so I guess "staying home" is the right choice, despite our actually going over to each set of parents' house.

Going someplace hot AND staying with relatives. At the same time.

Torturing myself by visiting in-laws. They're not bad people, but I'm more like the "Do not remove this" tag, they don't notice me except when I get in the way.

Lying on the couch and studying. I need a life, but I also need to pass. :(

We're having relatives (hers) over to open presnts and have breakfast. Then driving to relatives (mine) for dinner. It will be cold in the morning (50's), but it will be hot in the afternoon (80s, inside! Old people are always cold).

Visiting relatives. Then visiting extended relatives. Then visiting in-laws. Then visiting old college buddies. Then coming home to our (non-euphamistic) parrot.

This sums it up nicely, oh, except substitute angy cats for (non-euphamistic) parrot

I'm sorry to hear that your cats are angy.
(Is this a good thing?)

Sheesh, it's just a typo. :shake:

Obviously, she meant "mangy".

Staying home. My house. Not going to visit in-laws, out-laws, or no-laws. Trying to avoid any visitors but will probably get in-laws and out-laws showing up. They know they need to bring me Becks or I won't let them in (seiously). I'll need it though so it's not that great of a deal.

Like most Jews, I will celebrate by going to the movies and having Chinese Food.

It's TRADITION!

Not Jewish, but my family has done Chinese food for Christmas dinner, too.

I don't get it! You aren't celebrating merely because you have to study for an exam that is almost 5 months away?

We'll probably go to California to visit my relatives. They don't want to visit us here in the frozen tundra in December. Wimps!

Hey, Cross-Eyed Mary, anywhere near Lohs Angeeeleeez?
It's raining in NoCal, so you don't want that. We'll get it in the next day or two. Fricken' El Nino's gonna give tourists the wrong impression.

Elllaay! Hold the storm, Georgie boy.
El Niņo's good to us, though. Warmer and drier winter! Maybe you should come here! (wimp :) )

Today will be pretty bad. I heard it might be not-SoCal weather until the 30th.

Christmas Eve at my Mom's place. Home early, put the kids to bed and put together the air hockey table (it's for the children!).

Christmas afternoon at sister-in-laws for turkey.

Boxing Day get together with brother-in-laws' family for traditional Newfie supper (salt meat/peas porridge/3quarts of salt).

New Year's Eve the spouse generally goes to bed at 10:30, I fall asleep on the couch and wake up at 12:30 . With any luck the neighbours will have a bonfire in the snow with a skating party for the kids. If so, we'll head there.

New Years's Day annual skating party/brunch at my sister's place.

Somewhere in between all this finish building the gym in the basement and wrap up the year end bookkeeping.

I love this time of year. Lots of annual get togethers with the family.

Well, rain or shine...can't back out now! I'll take proper rain gear!

Skiing at Lake Tahoe. (Like I always say, why spoil a perfectly good holiday with something like visiting relatives! :P )
