Does anyone know if you can get PD credit for being on an SOA Task Force? Are there any rules about who can be on a Task Force (ie. you need to be an FSA)? Has any of you ever done this before? Do you need to be knowledgeable on the subject or is it learn as you go? I'm getting some pressure at work to join one and wanted to learn more.

I doubt seriously that you can get credit for just BEING on a task force.

However, you can get up to 3 credits for a one hour presentation which covers a topic on your PD plan. I would guess that you could put together at least one hour long presentation on the work of the task force. With the approval of your supervisor, possibly more than one.

(If you get the session(s) approved for SOA PD credit, then delivering the session counts as SOA approved credit. If not, then it is non-SOA approved credit and you are limited to 15 non-SOA approved credits.)

Also, you might be able to work the task force into your project....
