I just received the letter saying PD is done and another letter will follow with registration materials. Has anyone else experienced this two-step delay? Can I hope to register for the March FAC?

I just sent my executed PD in last Friday. How long did it take to receive approval from the SOA after you submitted your plan?

I received my PD approval in early December and spoke with the SOA late in the month. Registration material was just going out to the printer and they expected to mail the packages out last week. I still have not received my registration package. It looks like the SOA is behind, but if PD has been approved you should be able to get into the March FAC.

Note that my PD was approved in 5 days, but it took an additional 2 weeks for me to receive the confirmation letter.

It took slightly more than 2 months, but there were extenuating circumstances.

I received the FAC registration package today. Hopefully there is room in Atlanta ....

Did you follow one of those model plans?

I've sent an e-mail (pdcomments@soa.org) describing what I am planning to do, have not heard anything. They must be swamped with
e-mail request after Jan 10.

I am hoping to send initial plan and executed plan together.

Sent initial and executed plan together (just needed a few credits - lots of pre-2000 transition) - close to a model plan, but not exactly. I sent it almost 2 weeks ago (BEFORE the January 10-15 deluge).

I just faxed my registration in today. Any idea if there is still availability?

I called the SOA today to ask about the status of my PD review. I had submitted it on December 19th.

They said it had just been approved and they faxed me a FAC registration form immediately. They said the FAC was not full, and they would probaby continue to accept other candidates until it was full, despite the supposed January 20th deadline.

I'm finally done. YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D

Can anyone tell me how much FAC costs? I'm trying to get an idea so that I can start the approval process at my office to go to the Montreal FAC. They don't seem to have any details online, and waiting for the registration materials will be too late. Thanks!

It's $800 this year, plus hotel, flight, etc.

It includes all meals, ceremony, 1 certificate, etc. for the candidate. Guests are extra.
