So, anyone thinking the results will come out a day early like they did last sitting?

Let's hope so. If not, it just means I will be on the edge of my seat for longer. Since they came out early last time, I will be doing the every 30 minute web page refresh a day earlier than in the past.
They probably will not release them until friday, so they have just made it worse by releasing them early last time.

They actually came out 4 days early...

Onto: That was exactly the argument I made last sitting. I was almost unanimously criticized as someone who was ruining everyone's enjoyment at actually getting results early. But now everyone pays with increased anxiety over a longer period of time. It was a short term gain and a long term loss.

Slam,
I do not share your opinion. I would like to see results posted as soon as they are ready. There are real gains from early results such as more time to prepare for next sitting. You say that there is a "loss" due to the extra stress. While some may experience much extra stress I think most people will experience little or no extra stress due to the early release. Why should this potential extra time be wasted because some people will experience what I'm inclined to describe as illogical stress?
Even though I think it is illogical, I admit that I personally will probably experience a little extra stress the week leading up to results but what does that really hurt?
First, I want to make one thing clear. I do not favor a later release of exam results. I'm sure that the SOA could streamline their grading process so that results would come out more quickly. I do favor maintaining a predictable release of exam results. Onto explained the harm in not having a predictable release of results. It hurts both students and their employers for students to be hitting "refresh" often. Productivity declines and there's no need to inflict more stress on actuarial students than they already experience.
Since they came out early last time, I will be doing the every 30 minute web page refresh a day earlier than in the past.
every 30 minutes? Wow, you've got more self-restraint than I do. every five minutes, here.

Exactly! Just let us know. I am sure that today. .right now. . the SOA knows exactly when they will release them. SO TELL US! If it is going to be on thursday. . tell us. Change the "Anticipated Grade Release . ." to "Exam Results will be released on. . ."

Why do you think the SOA knows? I believe the CAS has a policy of releasing their non-joint exam results on the earliest day possible, but that they do not know even 24 hours in advance when that will be.

Just a hunch I guess. . .I don't really see any reason why they wouldn't know by now exactly when they are going to complete this process. I doubt that they are feeding papers through the automatic scorers at this point.

No, but when they release the results depends on when the conference call is that sets the pass mark. If all doesn't go well with that conference call, I see how that could change the outcome.

Let's just hope they don't miss their conference call because they are out too late tonight and hungover tomorrow morning!
My birthday is on Saturday, so if anyone from the SOA is out there - The gift that I want is a passing score. :)
