Are we going to be a FCAS automatically, or we need to fill out some forms and need to get recommendation letters?

First of all, congratulations... I just got my FCAS this past fall. Exam-free ROCKS!!!

FCAS is automatic if you're an ACAS already. If this is the case, you'll get a nice letter (and a phone call from the president of the CAS) from the CAS in a week or two...

A few folks never get their ACAS designation. Some folks last exam is an associateship level exam, or they take and pass part 7 & 8 at the same time finish the associateship & fellowship exam requirements at the same time. These folks need to get the letters of recommendation and fill out the application for membership.

Do i have to request for the application forms or they will send this to me? Thanks.

You didn't already fill out the application? As Billy Madison said, "YOU BLEW IT!!!" You'll have to start over at exam 1. Sorry, dude, but you should really pay attention this time.

They'll send it to you. They want your dues... ;-)

If you have further questions, why don't you just go right to the CAS. I've always found them to be very helpful... Sybil Petrey (spetrey@casact.org) is in charge of new member processing.

If you don't get the application forms in 2 weeks or so give the office a call. The office nearly screwed up with me, and I didn't realize it till I read the pass list and didn't see my name. I had just 1 week to get my recommendation letters in.
