View Full Version : split 5-6 and 7,8,pd forum
Why not split the board like
C5
C6
C7 (including pre-test)
C8
PD, FAC
It will make lots of senses.

I could see C5/C6 and C7/C8 into two sections since they aren't offered every session and with C7 being a weird one. JMO.

The decision to leave C5 and C6 lumped together was because they are offered on alternating sessions. Presumably the C5 discussions would be dying down as the C6 ones were picking up and vice versa.
Same with 7 and 8 and PC/FAC has not historically generated enough discussion to warrant it's own board.
However - if they are becoming too congested - as the old lumped-sections did - we can separate them.

While we,re at it, let's split up the Course 8 thread, too. And then we can split up each course thread into separate threads for each reading.

No, I'm not nobody, pre-empting THAT question.
Nobody has good points, though.

Well - the 7-8 board is the smallest of all - even combined.
But it does look like 5-6 is getting a little crowded.
DTNF - are you ready to go back to work?

I submit that the C8 exam threads be broken out by specialty. :viola:

I have the first and last three pages separated. After that it's one too many clicks. I do have my limits.
Old Course 6 stuff is on page 5 and older. If glenn can put all the page numbers at the top (instead of "1, 2, 3, ... 15, 16"), I can do some more moving.

On Page 6. I'm not pulling out the 7-8 threads as much.
Big issue with this is that the last few pages are all Course 5. I usually work from past to present.
Pages 6-12 are mostly Course 6. And they're the hardest to get to.

I tried, no joy.
If you still need it done, let me know and I'll keep looking.

glenn, I took your advice to "back-back-back" and try to remember what I just moved (since that move doesn't update the page's threads). I think the Course 6 threads are all done.
And I think 270+ threads moved is enough for today.
There are plenty of 7-8 threads in there. I don't have as much motivation for those, and they're interlaced pretty well with the past two Fall's Course 5 threads. The Course 6 ones were pretty much all in a row for a few pages. Still one at a time (I hear no crying; what up?).
Maybe tomorrow I'll tackle the 7-8 threads. Maybe not.
I also think that the section of exam fora is big enough to be put below the cyberchat area. Not that it's any less important. And the surveys forum needs to be put into cyberchat as well. Nearly nothing in there relates to actuarial topics.

You're welcome, nobby.
I tell ya, Dr T sure is soft on this issue. She must be too focused on that other thing to be bothered. One simple request (with backing logic) and it's decided.
I'll see what I can do about the others. I'm getting a good rhythm on this moving business.

Nobby, I think my work is done. There may be some strays.
Good luck on any further separation.
