Are you confident in the page name? They deleted last year's links, so I don't know what 8G/M is going to show up as....

I haven't thought about it yet. My plan is to form a committee this afternoon to brainstorm possible URL names, incorporating both pattern analysis and corporate psychologic extrapolation based on the SOA's operating principles, and from there to isolate the two or three URL's that we consider to comprise a 75% or greater probability of being correct. I will then assign three people to refresh the selected URL's, at a refresh rate proportional to their estimated probability of occurrence, so as to minimize the

I put at least once a minute, but actually I will be running something automated that will beep at me once it gets a valid page. No I won't share it...yet. If I passed, then I won't care anymore and will share it willingly. :-)

Edited to say that I didn't see the webmon line above. That would work too.

I said every 10 minutes, but I will probably start long before 2 pm(Central). I know, I know, but I do acknowledge my insanity.

If the results don't come out by 2pm, I'll be refreshing every 5 seconds!

Good luck to everyone out there, and myself too! I feel less and less confident as each day passes by!

d'oh. Stupid firewall won't let webmon or my alternate method run. Now I guess I need to get one of those bobbing head bird thingies to peck the keys for me instead.

To answer the previous post, webmon is a little utility that lets you know when the content of a webpage changes. Google will find it pretty quickly for you.

I've been refreshing every 10 minutes since 2 pm on Wednesday. I even tried last friday thinking maybe they'd accidentally post them early!

you know what I hate? that heart-stopping moment when you refresh and the screen goes white like it's actually downloading something, but really it's just that the server is overloaded, and then you get the same "The page could not be found" thing. I hate that.

I really hope that webmon sh*t works! Screw those refreshes!!! :D

ha. I'm refreshing because (a) I don't fully trust webmon since I never heard of it til a couple days ago, and (b) webmon is too passive. At list clicking "refresh" gives me _something_ to do...
