If the last bid is between midnight and 8:00 AM, it closes the following day at 8:00 AM.
If the last bid is between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, it closes in 24 hours.
If the last bid is between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM, it closes the following day at 4:00 PM.
If the last bid is between 6:00 PM and midnight, it closes the day after the following day at 8:00 AM.

All times Eastern.

Wouldn't changing the "business hours" to 8-6 effectively do the same thing without as much wording?
And including that any bid made out afterhours is "effective" at 8am the following day.

I think the second window is important because when bids close at hour x, then new bids will appear in hour x+1 based on knowing what players you have. The extra window means these bids are open 22 hours versus 46 hours.

And yes the amendment should not include weekends.

I'm voting yes b/c it's better than what we got... but I really think the '8AM effective time' option for after hours bids is optimal.

This did pass, so remember that anything bid on after 6pm cannot close until 8AM Wed. Anything bid on between 4pm and 6pm will close tomorrow at 4pm.

How does this work with weekend bids? Will they close at 4pm Monday, or 8AM tuesday?

I say 4pm on Monday, unless it was made Sunday night after 8

I would say 4pm on Monday, unless it was made Sunday night after 6pm.

Either one is fine by me, but I agree 4pm Monday.
