I'm going. Made my reservation yesterday. I'm just curious, what's the average turnout for APCs? Around 20 people?

In February 2006 it was about 100 - 3 groups of 35 each. No clue as to the number in others. If it's not about a month after an exam result (which describes November), you're probably going to be a much smaller group.

I think this December one will have a pretty small group... Those who need APC to get ASA probably are all those who are now doing FAP and have no exams to write in October/November, so people will porbably be going to the Irving one in November instead.

The registration for December 2006 is closed!!!No kidding...I was just looking at my calendar and I noticed I had not written down the registration deadline (I think it was sometime in early November). I was suprised to see the session fill up so quickly. I wanted to go ahead and get the APC out of the way, but I guess I'll wait...I won't satisfy all the other requirements for ASA until after I take FAP 1 in late February anyway, so I guess it's not really a problem.

Hey guys,
Since the Philly one is closed, I sent SOA an email asking them where the next locations are. Here is what they sent me:

"We are in the process of planning for the Associateship Professionalism Courses in 2007, they will be posted on the website as soon as dates and locations are confirmed. We will generally have at least one APC each month, based on the demographic and demand. The schedule should look similar to this year; for the first quarter of 2007, we are planning to have APCs in Connecticut, Illinois, Georgia and Massachusetts; locations are subject to change until posted on the website.

I guess I'll call back tomorrow? My phone call was made last Wednesday.

Same thing happened with me - I faxed my app in on a Tuesday or something. On Thursday, the application & info were updated that the APC were closed.

You can either call Doreen Tan (very nice lady) or just wait it out.

I called Doreen the Monday afterwards and found out that I was approved for the APC before I got to the office.

Conclusion - you should be okay.

Yes I'm flying in Thursday night. I don't actually know but I'll be meeting a friend (hopefully, if he can make it) for dinner. I'll ask and I'll post some suggestions here.
