I will be going to NEAS in New Jersey. Just want to get a heads-up on what can be expected from Feldblum. In particular,

1. did he go through a lot of past exam problems (A friend of mine attending CAMAR told me that one of the instructors, wasn't really familiar with some of his topics and spent like 40+ minutes trying to solve one simple problem and finally let a student come to the rescue). Besides, he just went through on average about one to two questions on each paper.

2. In general, did you think it was worth the time/money on a scale of 1-10.

i was pretty impressed. sometimes his brain seems a little addled and he's working on something and it isn't going well. but I think it would be as wrong as wrong could be to suggest he does not know the material from every angle.

I was prepared for him to veer wildly off topic, bc I had heard it happens. but that was rare. and he was willing to stop himself and say "I'll get back to that tomorrow". now, he didn;t get back to it, "and that's fine-WHY?" - it was usually something pretty hard and not likely testable.

I found his lecture interesting, covering stuff at a sneaky pace (not dwelling at all on list stuff), but we still didn't get to eerything. so it goes.

it was worth my time and my comapny's money, yes. If I were paying out of pocket, it still would have been good. I rate it in the 7-8 range, and would have been more if we didn;t leave some papers off the list.

I can tell you just spent a week with Shalom. I'll be in NJ. I'm trying to cover as much material as possible before I get there, but this week has been rough (work-wise), so we'll see.

I agree with tommy..."you with me? yes/no?" He was the same ole' Feldblum I remember from Part 5 a couple years ago. Similar to tommy, I rate the seminar about a 7. The only gripe I have is that there didn't seem to be a schedule, which kept us on our toes. It was if he would "finish" one paper and then say to himself..."hmmmm what paper is non-related to what I just covered?" I can only assume he was trying to keep from getting too dull on any one topic (except for "GLIM"). From what I hear about CAMAR, this was the best out there and I am glad I took the time. Now, it's back to the HUGE stack of study notes he gave us. Ugh!

Did he pass out papers at the seminar only?
I havent' received anything in the mail, so I'm assuming he hasnt sent anything. But, I've found in the past he sends out material about half the time, to half the people.

I would expect him to distribute all the materials at the seminar. He gave us what he had but said there would be a couple more that he had not completed (GLM and 1 other that he forgot to bring) available on the website later this month. Be sure to leave a lil' room in your suitcase for getting all the materials back, 'cause it's a heap!

No kidding, when I took the seminar it was about 700 pages just on workers comp, another 150 or so on Robbin, etc. It was probably bigger than the exam syllabus itself!
